Alexander Igbanoi is an award-winning British-Nigerian director, producer, and acting coach. His short film The Half You Hate won Best Director, Best Film, and Best Ensemble Cast at the New York Film Festival. He began his career training actors at some of the UK's leading drama schools, helping develop the next generation of emerging talent, including many actors from underrepresented backgrounds.
Alexander has since established himself as a filmmaker committed to authentic and culturally resonant storytelling. In 2023, he was recognised by Metro as one of the "3 Black British Directors You Need to Know About" alongside the release of a new wave of British cinema. More recently, his Brazilian short film DOMA received international press attention, including coverage in Rolling Stone Brasil, highlighting his growing work on the global stage.
